Further develop the brand and generate awareness of VANs so that the market understands who eNett are and what they do before commencing stage two: a launch event.

The Brief
To create a global above the line campaign with a strong digital focus for the launch of eNett’s new product, Virtual Account Numbers (VANs). This campaign was to launch in Australia and had to incorporate the company mascot, ‘VAN Man’. Customer data needed to be captured in preparation for stage two and to generate leads for sales staff.

The Process
To create a global above the line campaign with a strong digital focus for the launch of eNett’s new product, Virtual Account Numbers (VANs). This campaign was to launch in Australia and had to incorporate the company mascot, ‘VAN Man’. Customer data needed to be captured in preparation for stage two and to generate leads for sales staff.
Following concept stage, VAN Man was born through character development with the utilisation of 3D imaging techniques and animation. A corporate video was crafted to educate customers about VANs and invite them to register online for further information and to attend an event in their local area.
 
This video was featured on the VANs microsite. Hard Edge Media also created the microsite — including delivering all design, copywriting and production elements — and creative was also developed for print and online media placements.

Creative Challenges
A lead time of only three weeks to complete creative and production for print and online media, microsite, 3D character development and animation within the corporate video.
Careful consideration of cultural and language factors so that the campaign would work on a global scale.

The Result
Hard Edge delivered all design, copywriting and production for a corporate video and microsite, as well as print and online media placements. The campaign metrics exceeded client expectations with 66% of leads delivered resulting from the microsite, with a third signing up immediately.
